ON CAMPUS:
The Human Resources business offices
(including recruitment) are located in Building 64, the first building
on your left as you enter the CVTC campus on Colony Road. Park in the front or
the rear of the building.
The Human Resource Director's office is located in Building 60,
the Administration Building. Park at the side of the building in
the lot between Nagler (Building 50) and Administration or in the front
of the building in the main lot by Bradford (Building 1).

Located on a 350 acre campus on the bluffs overlooking
the James River, the Central Virginia Training Center is a residential
facility operating 3 shifts, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our
workforce of over 1,400 includes employees in direct care,
administration & support, training, medical and hospital services,
dental services, laboratory, social work, psychology, rehabilitative services,
vocational services, medical records, food operations, public safety
(police), housekeeping, physical plant and laundry.
Position qualifications range from entry level to significant
requirements for experience,
educational achievement and professional licenses.
We offer both classified and wage employment, and
maintain a competitive salary program under the Commonwealth pay plan. Unless specified
otherwise in the position announcement, the hiring range for each Role is normally
from band minimum to band midpoint. Salary is negotiable within
the hiring range based on qualifications and experience.

Both wage and classified employment is
contingent upon an extensive background investigation that includes the FBI, VA State Police,
U.S. HHS Office of Inspector General, Child Protective
Services, employment references and Selective Service (if applicable). Failure to
report all convictions or founded listings will result in refusal of
employment or immediate termination. By law, CVTC may not employ individuals
who have been convicted of barrier crimes as defined in Code of
Virginia § 37.1-20.3. Applicants selected for
employment in safety sensitive positions are subject to a drug test prior to beginning
employment and random drug testing during the course of their employment. Following acceptance of a
job offer, all applicants are subject to a pre-employment physical.
